Within the framework of the project, a modern, multidisciplinary medical center for adults will be created with the participation of the <b>Economic Development and Cooperation Fund (EDCF)<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>To launch this project, the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan and the head of the Kyeryong consortium, selected as the general contractor, signed an agreement, officially commencing the construction work.<\/p>\n<p>The total value of the project amounts to <b>$149.8 million<\/b>. The center is expected to create over <b>700 jobs<\/b> for medical personnel.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, as part of the project, <b>130 Uzbek medical specialists<\/b> will undergo internships in South Korea, and <b>32 highly qualified Korean specialists<\/b> will travel to Uzbekistan to work.<\/p>\n<p>The new center will be capable of performing approximately <b>8,500 high-tech operations annually<\/b> in fields such as cardiosurgery, neurosurgery, transplantology, rehabilitation, and others.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, the National Children&#8217;s Medical Center \u2013 the only one of its kind in Central Asia \u2013 was already opened in Tashkent, also constructed with the assistance of the Republic of Korea&#8217;s Economic Development and Cooperation Fund.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/daryo.uz\/ru\/2025\/10\/21\/v-tashkente-postroyat-meditsinskiy-klaster-stoimostyu-okolo-150-mln-dollarov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Daryo<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A large medical complex is planned for construction in Tashkent, to be implemented in partnership with the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Eximbank).
