{"id":9236,"date":"2025-11-13T14:29:10","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T10:29:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medscriptum.org\/?p=9236"},"modified":"2025-11-13T14:29:10","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T10:29:10","slug":"conference-of-the-organisation-of-european-cancer-institutes-oeci-in-madrid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medscriptum.org\/en\/conference-of-the-organisation-of-european-cancer-institutes-oeci-in-madrid\/","title":{"rendered":"Conference of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI) in Madrid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"73\" data-end=\"280\"><strong data-start=\"73\" data-end=\"280\">At the initiative of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI), a conference dedicated to accelerating cancer research and innovation was held in Madrid at the Cl\u00ednica Universidad de Navarra.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"282\" data-end=\"540\">The event was attended by Todua Clinic\u2019s oncology resident <strong data-start=\"341\" data-end=\"358\">Elene Kekelia<\/strong> and her colleague <strong data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"401\">Mariam Chiabrishvili<\/strong>, who presented the experience of Todua Clinic to international colleagues and took part in various discussions alongside European experts.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"907\">The main theme of the conference was how to better integrate oncological scientific research into everyday clinical practice and how such integration strengthens patient-centered care. Participants explored innovative approaches, including how research and international collaboration contribute to the development of more effective, personalized oncology services.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"1088\">The Madrid conference on <strong data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"966\">\u201cEffective Patient Pathways\u201d<\/strong> sparked important discussions on how research and cooperation can create more efficient and patient-tailored cancer care.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1168\">During the event, special attention was given to several key areas, including:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1340\">\n<li data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1214\">\n<p data-start=\"1171\" data-end=\"1214\">strengthening academic clinical research;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1215\" data-end=\"1260\">\n<p data-start=\"1217\" data-end=\"1260\">improving patient engagement and support;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1340\">\n<p data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1340\">sharing experience and deepening collaboration among European cancer centers.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1342\" data-end=\"1680\">As <strong data-start=\"1345\" data-end=\"1362\">Elene Kekelia<\/strong> noted:<br data-start=\"1369\" data-end=\"1372\" \/><strong data-start=\"1372\" data-end=\"1680\">\u201cI was delighted to represent Todua Clinic at the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI) \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/oeci.eu\/ProjectDetails.aspx?id=14\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CCI4EU<\/a> conference at Cl\u00ednica Universidad de Navarra, together with my esteemed colleague Mariam Chiabrishvili. We had a great opportunity to share our experience and learn from our European colleagues.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1682\" data-end=\"1982\">Ultimately, the third CCI4EU Capacity-Building Conference in Madrid brought together European experts, researchers, and clinical leaders around a shared goal\u2014to promote the rapid implementation of innovative research into clinical practice and strengthen patient-centered approaches in oncology care.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1984\" data-end=\"2156\"><strong data-start=\"1984\" data-end=\"2135\">\u201cI am especially grateful to the organizers for this remarkable opportunity and for encouraging the exchange of ideas that truly support progress,\u201d<\/strong> added Elene Kekelia.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2158\" data-end=\"2422\">The participation of Todua Clinic once again highlights Georgia\u2019s active involvement in European medical research and innovation networks, which contributes significantly to improving the quality of oncology services and aligning them with international standards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the initiative of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI), a conference dedicated to accelerating cancer research and innovation was held in Madrid at the Cl\u00ednica Universidad de Navarra.
