Arsen Sebiskveradze, editor of Medscriptum, won the EU Prize for Journalism 2025 for the best student work in print, broadcast, or online media.

Arsen Sebiskveradze’s work focuses on the tragedy of the Kharagauli villages, Ghverkisa and Khemaghali. Following the initial cracks and fissures caused by a landslide in May 2025, irreversible processes developed with lightning speed, and by the end of summer, the territories of both villages had become uninhabitable.

On February 6, the winners of the “EU Prize for Journalism” were announced for the 14th time. Since its inception, the aim of this competition has been to support professionalism and ethical standards in journalism.

The category “Best Student Work in print, broadcast, or online media” is dedicated to the new generation—students who are already creating responsible and professional journalism. It serves to discover new voices within the media space.
