Victoria Shonia, a visiting lecturer at the Department of Pathological Anatomy of Tbilisi State Medical University and a young pathologist at the Teaching, Scientific, and Diagnostic Laboratory of Pathology, is the winner of an international competition organized by the Vincent Academy of Pathology.
As part of the project, which is supported by the host institution’s funding, Victoria Shonia will undergo a three-month internship in Austria starting March 1, 2026, at the Institute of Clinical and Molecular Pathology (Ordensklinikum Linz–Elisabethinen Hospital).
This internship will provide her with the opportunity to:

Deepen her expertise in the subspecialties of breast and gynecological pathology;

Enhance her diagnostic capabilities and participate in international research projects;

Master complex differential diagnostics and the interpretation of biomarkers.
