On the sidelines of the World Health Assembly ongoing in Geneva, Eliza Chin, Executive Director of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA), and Mariam Jashi, Co-founder of Med Veritas Global (MVG), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering collaboration in the advancement of women’s health, medical education, international professional cooperation, and patient-centered healthcare.
The partnership is built upon the shared vision of both organizations to strengthen healthcare systems through education, knowledge exchange, clinical collaboration, and international capacity building.
Under the framework of the MoU, the parties plan to cooperate in several key areas, including the exchange of medical expertise and professional resources, raising awareness on women’s health issues, and implementing international educational initiatives.
The cooperation also envisions the engagement of AMWA members in Med Veritas Global’s international professional network and Second Opinion initiatives. This will facilitate the sharing of expertise and the development of clinical practice for both Georgian patients and medical professionals, while also expanding collaboration to other countries.
Founded in 1915, AMWA is one of the oldest and leading professional organizations in the US, currently uniting nearly 3,000 members across the United States to promote women’s health and medical leadership.
AMWA and Med Veritas Global emphasize that this collaboration represents a significant step forward in strengthening international medical partnerships and developing innovative approaches in the field of women’s health.
