According to the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, a significant innovation will be implemented in the country’s emergency medical service (Service “103”) system in 2026 — the “Online Doctor” consultation service.

The initiative is being carried out considering advanced foreign experience and modern approaches, and aims to significantly improve the quality of services provided to the population.

The “Online Doctor” project will allow dispatchers and medical personnel to provide remote, real-time consultation to patients in mild cases or during an urgent situation. The service will ensure prompt medical assistance in cases where the patient needs help before the emergency brigade arrives, thereby reducing the consumption of resources on non-emergency calls and freeing them up for truly urgent situations.

Furthermore, it is planned that starting in 2026, all electronic programs used by the emergency medical service will be integrated with hospitals and polyclinics. This integration will significantly improve coordination between medical institutions, ensuring seamless and effective service for patients.

It is noted that the integration of electronic management in the sector has already yielded tangible results: the percentage of delays in arriving at the call location has decreased from 1.1% to 0.3%.
