The founder of REHEALTH, Dr. Vasil Gergedava, brings 15 years of experience in radiology and 8 years in the medical tourism sector. Throughout his professional career, he has repeatedly seen patients and their families caught in a cycle of uncertainty and information scarcity, feeling as though they lack a reliable guide at their most critical moments. This reality led to the creation of REHEALTH—a space where no one has to face their medical challenges alone.
This environment is precisely where the need for medical tourism arises. Patients do not choose treatment abroad out of mere preference; often, the drivers are a desire for quality service, the necessity of finding the right specialist, the need for a second medical opinion, access to modern methods, and the search for hope where domestic resources, experience, or organized support may be insufficient.
REHEALTH was created as a response to this reality—ensuring the patient has not just a service, but a guide, support, and a professionally managed process. However, the vision of REHEALTH extends beyond sending patients abroad. On the contrary, one of its primary goals is to gradually make the knowledge, experience, and capabilities that patients often seek overseas more accessible within Georgia.

REHEALTH Medical Tourism: Primarily focused on supporting patients seeking treatment abroad. The platform assists them in determining the correct treatment path, connecting with appropriate clinics and specialists, obtaining second opinions, and organizing the entire treatment logistics.

REHEALTH Academy: Dedicated to the professional development of doctors, residents, students, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Its mission is to bolster the institutional, academic, and professional strength of the local medical community through education, practical training, knowledge sharing, international cooperation, and the organization of large-scale congresses and conferences.

This vision further led to the initiative to establish the “Medical Tourism Development Association,” of which Dr. Vasil Gergedava is a co-founder and organizer.
